  10. [...] Events Calendar, which we’ve had in UMW Blogs for quite some time, has tons of features but there was one thing it didn’t do well. See, I wanted my events to have a post-like presence within the site. In other words, I wanted to be able to use the standard WordPress Loop to filter info about events and I wanted to be able to tag them and categorize them like all the other content on the site. Events Calendar creates a whole separate structure for storing event information. It was also, quite frankly, a beast of a plugin. There were more features then I really needed. [...]

    Hi Luke,

Posted this on Heirem’s site as well – and will on the new forum – but just in case you see this first – : )..

My host just found and sent me this – way above my head – perhaps you could go through it and tell me which script of EC to enter this code into and of course exactly where so I don’t kill the whole calendar!

Can’t adjust the server as it is shared hosting….

Is this only compatible with WordPress. I have a customer and need to incorporate this into an ecommerce site. So, can I use this in a non-WordPress site by creating a calendar/ directory and ‘include’ or ‘require’ necessary files from this calendar into the site?

Appreciate your work and will bookmark this site for future WordPress clients.

Thanks for any direction on this dilemna.
