Back To Work

I recently was able to move back into my home. I had been having work done on it and we were staying with family. During this time my Internet access was limited to my iPhone. I am now back at home and hope to be able to focus on the plugins more and more.

The calendar that is on my sidebar is the version that is in the works. The work has been done by Heirem. His work is much apreciated and I now hope to be able to put forth more effort in the development of the site.

I am planning on reopening the events calendar support site at a later time. I decided to go a different route on the server so I will be looking into other options. In the mean time support questions will be able to be answered here and at http://heirem.fr

New Events Calendar Support Site in the Works

When I started developing plugins just for fun I never thought that I would create one that would have become so popular. My wife is a bartender and was talking to one of her guests (another plugin author), and he was mentioning a plugin that he had written for WordPress. My wife was chit chatting about some of the things I had done and he was a user of the Events Calendar plugin. I can tell from the traffic on my site that there are many users and I am glad to hear it.

The main issue that has arose from this great response is that I do not have the time I need to provide the support that I would like. I am very grateful to say that I have had numerous people step up and answer questions and others that have helped with development of the plugin. Heirem has been a great benefit and has contributed the latest version of the plugin. Heirem has also taken over some support issue at http://heirem.fr. This is great but the only downfall is that the support is now divided into two sites it seems.

To solve these issues I have recently begun development on a new site devoted to the Events Calendar plugin entirely. The new site is located at http://wp-eventscalendar.com. At the moment the site is not setup up for registration, questions, or comments. I want to get it up and running before I start transferring support to new site. From this site, Heirem, myself, and any other developers that may join will be able to focus on questions and respond in a more timely matter.

There are a few things to look forward to at the new site. I am planning on setting up a new forum for the Events Calendar plugin as well a knowledge base and FAQ section. I am taking volunteers now for help with moderating the forum. It would preferably be someone who is fairly familiar with the plugin but it is not necessary. I would like to get a few that way the site will be able to run more smoothly. If you are interested in being a forum moderator or any other asset to the development and support of the plugin please contact me through the contact form on this site. Include some information about yourself and a link to you site if you have one. Thanks in advance for your support.

Events Calendar reverted to 6.5.1

Sorry everyone. When I was uploading the version 6.5.2 for testing, I mistakenly tagged the version incorrectly. The stable version is 6.5.1. Version 6.5.2 is in Beta and is uploaded to the WordPress site under the development version. If you would like to test out the development version please leave feedback either here or at http://heirem.fr

With the support of other developers there is a new beta version of the Events Calendar in the works. There are new additions and some bug fixes added. Support will be handled through two sites now. The site besides mine that will be handling support is http://heirem.fr

Support for these plugins has been restricted. If anyone wants to take over support and even take over the plugins let me know so that I can request for you to have access to the server where the plugins are stored. Email me at me {at} lukehowell {dot} com and let me know if you are interested. Support can then be transferred to you site and I will still be glad to assist when I have the time to do it.

It has become harder and harder for me to find time to work on the plugins. I have recently started a new job and between work and school I have a very limited schedule. I am looking for anyone that is interested in WordPress plugins. New Digsby Plugin

Digsby is a multiprotocol IM client that lets you chat with all your friends on AIM, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, Google Talk, and Jabber with one simple to manage buddy list. Digsby also includes options to check email and stay in touch with your favorite social networks like Myspace and Facebook.

With WordPress Digsby you can place a widget on your WordPress site so you can chat with visitors right from Digsby. Digsby is required to be installed on your local computer for you to be able to chat with users on you website.

Events Calendar Version 6.3

There was a major bug that ronbme pointed out. The calendar was disappearing when the month was changing in the small calendar. This was a major oversight and has been fixed. Thanks to Ron for all you help.
