Events Calendar Update

Hello everyone. First off let me apologize for not having any updates or fixes for the events calendar in recent times. I have lost touch with others that have worked on the plugin for reasons that I do not know. I too have had many things that have been taking precedence over working on projects. I am starting back work today on Events Calendar. To help with sorting through the bugs and reports that have been made, I need everyone’s help. I will be updating the svn trunk for the plugin while working on it. I would appreciate anyone that wants to play around with it to email me any issue to luke (at) wp-eventscalendar (dot) com.

If is something quick and you have a patch you will be credited with the solution. Any help is appreciated as I want to get the plugin where it should be and make it useful for everyone that needs it.

SVN Trunk is http://svn.wp-plugins.org/events-calendar/trunk

Feel free to email me with any concerns or questions.

Hi, I installed the event calendar on my WordPress site, however, the right boarder is not showing. Is there a way to make sure it fits the page. I would also like to change from blue to red since that is the main color for my website. Can I just make that change in options? Marcia

  2. Hi Luke, sorry to bother you.
I use Events Calendar and beleive it to be not far from great. I have small ajax problems in WP when enable (I can’t modify widgets or categorys in posts for example) which means disable the plugin the time needed to use it.
Is there a new version coming or a 6.7 beta ?
Thanks a lot for your work
    Eric

Using the beta 6.6 works great. I would like to have BOTH the calendar widget and the events list. Is there an easy way to duplicate the widget to add t to the sidebar twice? I am using a widget-ready template. Thanks.

P.S. I tried to sign u for the forum but it idnt send me my login confirmation.

I have spent 10 minutes looking for a demo of this plugin. Can you tell me why so many developers don’t include a demoe of their plugins? How can one decide if they like it or not? Thanks for your input.

Hello Luke, This plugin truly is great and versatile. I hopes of helping you assemble your bug list, I am reporting that I am having issues with certain posts (say June 3rd) will appear on the 2nd page of a months archives and, odder still, I will have 2 months that work almost 100%, but one month will archive in descending order.

I have changed none of your parametres and have installed as is. Am running WP2.9.2. I only have plugins that are javascript or jquery (no flash) and am using the sidebar widget for navigation.

I hope this helps. It is a very good plugin.
    k.

The calendar looks great until I publish it. Then the calendar as other people see it does not allow clicking. May is May is May. No June or July available. Nor do the events show.

Great Plugin… I’ve used it on 2 website. But Today I used it wordpress 3.0 (for developers) .. Its not working with this version & giving a fatal error. Thought you should know =)

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare is_rtl() (previously declared in /home2/heydidyo/public_html/andreajordheim/wp-includes/locale.php:347) in /home2/heydidyo/public_html/andreajordheim/wp-includes/locale.php on line 349

    Hello Luke

I think your calender is 1 of best (I have downloaded and tested all other I could find).

I only have 1 issue, but causing me not to implement the calender on my website.

When the Calender Widget has been drag&dropped into my sidebar, all my website images have been replaced by the ‘loading.gif’, which makes this calender not usable for me.

    Tested in Chrome, IE, Firefox.

I hope you can supply a solution for this issue.

    Kind regards,

    Chewing – The Netherlands

Love the plugin but it is effecting one of my other plugins.

I am using wp cycle and it works great until I activat the sidebar widgit – calendar view. then the slideshow goes blank.

It works great if I use the event view.

    Thoughts?

    Thank you

thanks for a great plugin, unfortunately it does not work in WP 3.0. Will you be developing a WP 3.0 friendly version?

    Thanks.

  13. DeAnna Tibbs says:

I love this plugin too! Unfortunately, I have had to temporarily disable v 6.6 because it affected my ability to add tags to a post in edit mode…weird, huh?

  14. Scott Ficek says:

Love the plug-in. Just a bit of housekeeping.

You should change the large calendar syntax code on the front page of the plug-in page on wordpress. it confuses people. I found in your change logs that it is now: [events-calendar-large]

    Thanks!

  15. Scott Ficek says:

One other item for the wish list. Any chance of recuring calendar entries? In other words, I would love to put in 1 entry for something that happens ever Thursday at 1pm.

    I guy can dream!

    Hello Luke.
I found an error in the Italian version of your plug-in.
The date required in the format dd-mm-yyyy but is recorded as yyyy-mm-dd.
The same problem is for the time.
    See you soon.

  17. bill says:

I recently used your events calendar on a project on my local machine. My Comodo antivirus either found or thinks it found a virus within your calendar.

Heur.Dual.Extensions@-1 is the threat name it identifies.

Can you shed some light on this.

  18. Jim says:

Using [[EventsCalendarLarge]] on a page is not working. The html code is the only thing appearing. Please advise and thanks for the plugin!

  19. Luke says:

    Use [events-calendar-large]

  20. michael says:

Everything seems to work great .. except … nothing happens when i click the dates with events in the sidebar. Nothing. Latest version of plugin and wp 3.0.

  21. Wendy says:

I am using the events calendar – but would like the calendar days to be Sunday thru Saturday instead of Monday thru Sunday – can you tell me how to change this?

Had problem with the mouseover not showing the comments for the list of events after upgrading to latest version of events-calendar yesterday. Found solution and cut and pasted in the ec_js.class.php file that had been posted on the WordPress Support forum. That worked fine for my site.

    Hi Luke,

I have a problem with the plugin and I was hoping you could help. I am unable to DELETE any events that I create from inside the admin section.

When I click the little ‘x’ on the calendar, it prompts me to delete the event, and when I click the ‘ok’ button, nothing happens. No events are deleted. I am using WP 3.0, and have tried in firefox, chrome, safari, opera, and IE8

This plugin is exactly what I need but can’t use it if I can’t delete events. I am willing to donate money to get this fixed. Any suggestions?

Also, not as important but I’d like to do, is it possible to have the month name displayed in the event widget, instead of ####-##-## format?

  25. rich says:

    Hi,
I can’t figure out how to get the calendar to my time zone. It keeps jumping ahead on what I think is Greenwich Mean Time.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks,
    Rich
