Support for plugins

July 16, 2008 · Posted in Wordpress Plugins

Support for these plugins has been restricted.  If anyone wants to take over support and even take over the plugins let me know so that I can request for you to have access to the server where the plugins are stored.  Email me at me {at} lukehowell {dot} com and let me know if you are interested.  Support can then be transferred to you site and I will still be glad to assist when I have the time to do it.

    Dear Luke,

I would like to respond positively to your proposal Luke. But I do sense nor the vocation nor the capacity. Maybe in some time. When I have my own site. I work more for others than for myself this time.

Pending know I sent to your email an update of the plugin and I think this would be a little shame if the community does not benefit.

    Friendly,
    Heirem

To respond to numerous requests I have made available Events-Calendar v 6.4.1 (not yet an official version) on my brand new personal blog : http://heirem.fr

This version solve many problems of translation dates and times since it is based on a library of functions integrated into Wordpress itself.

She brings with her 6 files languages: Czech, French, German, Romanian, Slovenian, Spanish and soon the Bulgarian through Iv.

My blog is translated into 11 languages. You should find your own I think. Otherwise let me know;)

I am in contact with Luke which began to transfer to my account the Events-Calendar take over.

    Cordially
    Heirem

It’s marginally working but I get errors… This appears in the side-bar of http://ska.org/news — some events are ‘public’ and some are limited to ‘contributor’ role. Calendar disappears when month changes. IE 7 browser (maybe others as well). How can I FIX THIS???

Warning: file_get_contents() [function.file-get-contents]: URL file-access is disabled in the server configuration in /usr/www/users/nisei/ska/news/wp-content/plugins/events-calendar/ec_calendar.class.php on line 47

Warning: file_get_contents(http://ska.org/news/wp-content/themes/SKA_news/style.css) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found in /usr/www/users/nisei/ska/news/wp-content/plugins/events-calendar/ec_calendar.class.php on line 47

OK — I’ve commented out the file_get_contents line (which seems only to be looking for a css format?) and though this suppresses the warnings, the calendar is off by one day — today is FRIDAY, Aug 1, 2008, but the calendar shows Aug 1 as THURSDAY… HELP, PLEASE?

This is my first try at blogging and recently downloaded your events calendar. I am enjoying having on my site but noticed that when you click on the next or previous month’s buttons I get a gray and black animated box in Firefox which never ends and in IE I get a warning the says “This page is accessing information that is not under its control. This poses a security risk. Do you want to continue.” When I press yes, the correct month shows up. How can I fix this in Firefox and stop the warning popup in IE?

    Hey there.
I am having some trouble withe the plugin and I would appreciate your help.

    The problem is that the
blog homepage is different from the directory you installed WordPress.
My site URL is this: http://we-actxyoga.org/
My WordPress address (URL) is this http://we-actxyoga.org/blog

Please go to http://we-actxyoga.org/ and click on Teaching Calendar. The data for the current month is shown correctly. Now click on the previous or next month. You will get:
    Index of /blog

I believe this is due to the fact that site URL and installation URL are different. I didn;t have this problem before making this change.

Can you please advise how to change the code to handle this issue?
    Your help is appreciated!!!

    Roberto

Hey, I’m using your AJAX Page Loader plugin. But, it doesn’t show my mp3 hyperlink with Audio Player plugin.

I’m working with your calendar.. I’m having a couple of issues that future developers may want to consider:

    1) the XHTML output is not valid
    http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.adxcreative.com%2Fautism%2Fevent-calendar%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0

    2) when clicking on previous or next months at the top of the Large Calendar, it just doesn’t work in Firefox 3 or Safari. This makes the calandar less than functional.
    here’s the development link:
    http://www.adxcreative.com/autism/event-calendar/

I hope someone takes this over and perfects it.. it’s a great plugin and perfect for our needs.

    Thanks,

    Marty

Sorry for the stupid question but how can I change the charset of the plugin? When I write quotes in English everything is fine, but my language is Bulgarian, and I need to change the charset because there are only question marks where the quote should be… Help?

    Hi, great plugin!

A couple of things which im trying to work out

    - I would like to display the fullpage calendar and events list like in the sidebar. I know how to display the full page but how can i display the events as a list as well?

    - Also i prefer the way the sidebar works when showing the event. You have to click and it opens it in a new page, darkens background etc. I tried swapping code around but I had no luck. Is this a simple swap of code and how can i do it?

    Cheers

    Jay
