The calendar I have on my sidebar is the development version I am working on. Don’t be too hard on me, because it is still a work in progress. It is on my own subversion server right now. When I get some more of the features added, I will post it to wordpress. At that point I would love to have some testers. I will post when the development version is on wordpress.
In the mean time, shoot me your ideas and I will see what I can and cannot incorporate. Anyone that wants to help in the development before it is on wordpress, email me through the contact form on this site and I will give you the address to the subversion server.

Might have been mentioned before, but I’d really like to see:
- scheduling for recurring events
- sidebar list for upcoming events underneath calendar
- have the old hover-tooltip-preview instead of the thickbox effect (or option to chose between the two), as hovering over events gives you quicker access and several events at a single glimpse.
- Option to have a full page clone of ones calendar on a separate page.

I am planning on including the ability to schedule for recurring events.

I will put an option for how much information to put in the tooltip. Some users have multiple events per day and after 3 or 4 the tooltip will run off the page.
I also plan on adding the ability to put a large version of the calendar on a post or a page.
After upgrading WordPress to 2.5, Event Calendar stopped displaying its widget. I reverted to event calendar 5.8.2, deactivated it, then reactivated it. But no luck. It will not display as a widget – and when I go to widget settings, three active widgets are listed while it claims there are 4 active. And event calendar fails to display under my list of widgets.
Any suggestions?

Hi there! Downloaded the plugin and I’m stumped. I do not wish to use it as a widget but as a standard plugin, i.e. include the php code where I want it to be in a sidebar, but can’t find the code for it in the docs with the plugin. Is that even doable?
On another note, is it possible to have back and forth arrows so that you can look at previous and following months rather than just the current one?
Right now it is only able to be used as a widget. I am working on a new version that is going to have some new features. The arrows for changing to the next and previous month is one of the features I am planning on implementing. Keep a watch on this site for the updates.

I sent a note through the contact form, then realized that posting a comment may be helpful for others. It would be really nice to allow the event title to include a hyperlink to a descriptive page; that is, the ability to click on an event title on the sidebar and have the descriptive page come up. The same logic would be useful in the little pop-up that comes up when you click on a highlighted date; that is, have the option to click on the event title and go to a descriptive page. I’m looking forward to the update. The current version already works very well!

Awesome plugin! I like the way that your events work when you hover and when you click on it, it appears in a lightbox. I installed the plugin onto a dummy 2.5 version that I am working on.. but I wasnt able to get the popup to work, the fonts to revert to white, or to get it to popup a lightbox with the contact information. Is there something amiss with what I am doing?
Also.. does the event text let you place a hyperlink in it? If you have some text for an event, you could say, for more information on this event, click on this link, and have it href to a page.
Great stuff.. anxious to see if I can get it running.
