For those that want to know where the option to input quotes is, that is under your TOOLS menu in wordpress admin panel. Not the ideal place, but that’s where it is. So go to Tools –> Quotes –> and add your quotes there.
Nevertheless, this plugin php code snippet didn’t work for me. I used the code below as directed in the installation instructions, but it does NOT work. Please let me know if this is NOT the right snippet for calling it via my theme. I’m very well-versed with wordpress and coding, so not understanding why this snippet was provided if it doesn’t work.

When trying to add quotes it does not say whether quote added or not, I use PDO for wordpress http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/pdo-for-wordpress/ since TTOBB ETU does not allow me to use SQL server.
So can I add as if an article so it can display random article from the specific catogory such as QUOTES ?

i find your quote rotator very useful. just encountered a problem when editing the quotes. it says “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page”. but still the editing would push push thru once you press the back button and then tried to Refresh it. need help pls how to get rid away with it. tnx

PS: I just notify Quote Rotator conflicts with “WP Super Popup”.
Quotes don’t appear when this plugin is enabled.
I tried installing it, and got some errors, then I upgraded it from within WP, and now there is no link to it in the tools menu…?

I had the same problems. Just uninstall the plugin, update WP and re-install Quote Rotator. You’ll find it in “Article”.

I’m having an isssue with the plugin in 2.9.2. I had the it running seamlessly in 2.7 and then updated WP and now its not working. Have you had any luck with testing or fixes for this yet? I have tried the common things like disabling the other plugins and deleting and reinstalling and no luck.
Would really appreciated any help on the matter.

I am using Quote Rotator. I input 86400 seconds which is 24 hours so that the quote would rotate once a day. But it’s not working. I’ve tried 86400 and 86,400 (comma) but nothing.
Has anyone found a solution to this. It seems the programmer wrote this plugin, which is great, but doesn’t offer support on it.

The problem is that only the administrator can add quotes
How can i change it so an editor can add quotes ??
HELP please
I was able to load the plugin, add the widget to the sidebar, and add quotes. However, when I load the page, the sidebar shows the title of the Quotes widget and temporarily the text “Loading Quotes…”. When the temporary message disappears, I assume the quotes should start to run, but there is nothing there.
i am now having the same issue as kyle, however this happened after i did the recent upgrade of WP
Me 2 after loading quotes –> No quotes anymore :s
I have successfully used the quote rotator for a while now, but since upgrading to WP 3.0, it appears to be broken.
Does anybody know a fix for this?
I still haven’t solved this yet and I love this plugin. It was a special touch to our site.

I also have the same problem after upgrading to 3.0; it says “Loading Quotes” and then nothing…
It was working great previously; we really like the plugin.

I just found the Flexi Quote Rotator, built on Luke’s original one.
Make certain you deactivate/delete this one first. All my quotes were retained in this new version!!!
I have also experienced a problem with Quote Rotator not working. I recently upgraded to WP 3.0 and I get the same results as Ryan (June 25, 2010 comment).

This is on my list of things to do. I have some fixes for another plugin right now. I am hurrying to get to this as soon as I can. On a side note, Flexi Quote Rotator was a great job and expansion of my original. Thanks @Ortixia
I forgot to mention that I also got the same not authorized message like Diyet (March 13, 2010 at 10:10 am) when trying to update a Quote. Not sure if it’s related to WP 3.0 again.

Updated to WP 3.0… displays loading text but doesn’t display text, no error messages. Tried Flexi Quote… won’t even install on WP 3.0

I had the same trouble as a few other people… after I updated WordPress the Quote Rotator seemed unable to load up the quotes.
I have just reinstated the testimonial rotations on my site by activating the Flexi Quote Rotator plugin. The quotes are now in ‘Tools’ and the widget is named ‘Quote’.
